The City of Kapolei is the fastest growing area on the island of Oahu with a population that exceeds 100,000. This region has been designated by the city and state as the primary urban growth region on the Island of Oahu. Businesses and service providers have been relocating or expanding into the greater Kapolei area to support the rapidly growing community.

The area is also home to several city, county and state government agencies. Hawaii State Judiciary Family Court and the FBI Regional Headquarters both relocated to new facilities in the greater Kapolei area.

Kapolei is also a destination for fun with world class beaches, golf course and recreation and home to Disney Aulani and Ko'Olina Resorts. Anchored by University of Hawaii's - West Campus, Kalaeloa Airport, Barbers Point Deep Draft Harbor and also home to an abundance of big-box retailers, hotels, and shopping malls hosting large national retailers (WalMart, Kmart, Costco, Home Depot, Target, Safeway, CVS/Longs, H&M, and Ross).
